Gotham is my favorite new show of the season. The characters are well done and the story doesn’t always go where I expect. Alfred portrayals in other Batman stories don’t quite compare to the way he’s done in Gotham. He is Bruce Wayne’s mentor and he knows how to fight. Check out this clip:
Not too bad for a man fighting with a cane, eh?
When 24 ended, I was interested in the prospect of a movie, but wasn’t crazy about it. Apparently that idea never really panned out, which is probably for the best. The unique time format for the show isn’t cut out for the movie theater. A movie would have felt rushed and left true fans thinking of it as a lighter experience than they are normally used to getting from the series.
I was ecstatic they decided to do a 12 episode mini series instead and I’m happy to report that the two episodes are off to a great start. In classic Jack Bauer style, he’s sacrificing everything for the greater good of his country. I’m not crazy about what they’ve done with Chloe, but the opening sequences with Jack were captivating, action packed, and drove me into the plot. I can’t wait for Monday to catch the next episode and I’m reminded of looking forward to Mondays in the years past. Welcome back Jack, it’s been too long!
Just stumbled across this article. I’m not quite sure what I think. The series from several years ago was great, but it might be too soon for another reimagining. Admiral Adama was my favorite character on that version and if a movie was going to be done, it would be strange without Edward James Olmos.
The best new comedy of this last season is–hands-down–Brooklyn Nine-Nine on FOX. The first few episodes are a bit rough, but as the series gets going, it hit its stride.
While funnyman Andy Samberg brings a lot of laughs, the other characters pull their weight as well. Rosa is one of the best characters on the show, check out this clip:
